How Will De La Hoya Be Remembered? And...

I am not a fan of De La Hoya, but I was thinking today about his all time status and thought to myself how he will be remembered when he retires? And does he really have anything left at this point? I personally don't think he wants it anymore, he already has accomplished so much and made so much money the hunger is probably gone.

    Is he overated?
    Does he have anything left?

He'll be remembered as the biggest non-heavyweight name in his era.
Does he have anything left? He's talking about leaving, so I don't think he even feels he has that much left in him. He no longer has that hunger anymore. Is he overrated? I certainly don't think so.

      Overrated? Absolutely not.

Will he be remembered for greatness?

      Once again absolutely.

I think his legacy is solidified as one of the best and fighting the best his resume win/lose is one of the best.

      Bernard Hopkins
      Felix Sturm
      Shane Mosley x 2
      Fernando Vargas
      Javier Castillejo
      Arturo Gatti
      Derrell Coley
      Felix Trinidad
      Oba Carr
      Ike Quartey
      Julio Cesar Chavez x 2
      Hector Camacho
      Pernell Whitaker
      Miguel Angel Gonzalez
      Jesse James Leija
      Genaro Hernandez
      Rafael Ruelas
      Jeff Mayweather
Lamar Williams- I mention this because in his pro debut he fought a guy that was 5-1 and knocked him out in the first round.

His resume is one of the best and he has his legacy and there is no dis*****g that.

However if he turns evil as a promoter, I do believe it can tarnish it a bit and make him looked on as a ****sucker like King.

      Please excuse my language.

Oscar has nothing left in the tank unless he fought the Yori Boys of the divisions.

He's ok but he never made history like Ruiz did as first champ for latinos in his division.

At first...I thought this guy was joking around. Now I think he really is a John Ruiz fan. The first one on boxingscene.

How can I be kidding? Look:

                  Oscar: Just another latino champ.
                  Ruiz: First HW latino champ.

                  Nuff said.
