If you go to these links you will see that they are both scheduled to fight July 23rd. Now that doesn't mean they are definitley fighting each other(they could just be on the same card) But I think there is a good chance this fight is most likely to happen July 23rd. Plus I heard James Toney has already started training, I hope this fight is announced soon.

I hope it happens, the rumors of this fight have been frequented since Toney beat Ruiz. It might happen but lets hear some news around it first, i don`t wanna get excited for nothing!

Yeah....this fight would be interesting to say the least. I am picking Byrd to win a decision....but who knows. Toney's weight may pay dividends in this fight in three ways.

1.) Added weight assists in his punching power
2.) Added weight gives him a strength advantage in the clinch
3.) The sound of his trunks chafing together might make Byrd go deaf.
