Instead of stacking the Mayweather-Mosley card, they move Marquez-Khan to May 15...

Imagine they put that fight on that undercard.

It would destroy in terms of PPV.
And then the fighters get paid less? **** that, these guys deserve these purses.

Not enough money to go around. Mayweather and GBP are not going to give their profits to have Marquez vs. Khan on the undercard.

They can make more money by having them fight two weeks later and get Khan more exposure in the US. The PPV would cost too much if they have JMM vs. Khan on the undercard.

You think Marquez-Khan does well PPV wise?

        I don't.

Especially after I'm all spent on the Mayweather-Mosley fight that is only 2 weeks before.

They might as well put that fight on the undercard and jack up the PPV price.

Marquez-Khan on the undercard = potential record breaking PPV.

Raising the price to $100 would sell less because not everyone has the money to spend $100 for a boxing fight.

$100 = less buys, less profits

$60 = more people can afford the fight and more people will pay for the fight.

          More buys = more profits.

GBP wants to get Khan more exposure and they can get more exposure by having him fight later in May.

Even if Marquez-Khan is on regular HBO, they would still get more money from headlining a show and getting a site fee and a gate fee.

Yeah, boxing is a business. People have to remember promotional companies, networks, and fighters are trying to make the most money possible.

You put Marquez-Khan on the undercard of May-Mosley, pay them a flat rate, jack up the PPV price and you'd have an irresistible PPV with minimal PPV loss.

That would be the greatest scenario for boxing.

Mosley, Mayweather, and GBP are not going to give them any money from their profit for the fight.

Money vs. Mayweather sells over 1.5 million.

Have JMM vs. Khan on PPV or HBO. Get a flat free from HBO, gate numbers, and site free, etc. = more money for GBP.

That's the best scenario for GBP.... not Boxing.

Like I said, Greed is what's holding Boxing back from the pedestal it's supposed to be on today.

I agree with you, but boxing is a business. They care more about their bank accounts instead of the fans.
