Miguel Cotto Update new head trainer

Former world champion Miguel Cotto may be hooking up with a new head trainer. Sources have mentioned names like Buddy McGirt, Ronnie Shields and others. Cotto is expected to return on June 12 at Madison Square Garden to challenge WBA super welterweight champion Yuri Foreman. Current trainer Joe Santiago, also the matchmaker of Miguel Cotto Promotions, and conditoning coach Phil Landman will remain on the Cotto staff. “We are seeking opportunities to improve in the corner and to seek the best preparation for the next fights,” said Cotto legal advisor Gaby Peñagarícano.

Miguel should have hooked up with Emmanuel Steward a long time ago.. I mean when one of the greatest trainers ever offers to step in and train you when you are lacking a head trainer, you take the offer. Glad he is considering changing things up though, thats good news.
