Carita Lopez back in March 6 with a title fight

The veteran Jose 'Carita' Lopez, whose dream of becoming world champion lasted only a defense when he gave his WBO 115-pound title to the Filipino Marvin Sonsona, returns to action in March 6 in a brawl where he would be in another title fight unveiled his oach Marcelino Calderon.

"There is something outstanding by March 6. We fight for the title or on an interim basis and discussions are well advanced. It would be in the 115 lbs. We were offered a fight in Japan for the title of the WBC 118-pound version, but it was too cold so we didnt take the risk. This is offered to us, is in California, "he said.

And Lopez, who improved to 39-8-2 with 32 chloroform, smiled when he heard it was again for a world title fight.

From what I get from the article, he was offered a fight with Hazegawa, but he diclined the offer do to the weather there. It wa too cold for hi comfort. And probably the weight wa too much. So he decided to face Darchinyan a bigger puncher than Hazegawa but a more beatle opponent in a place with better weather
