its very simple in my eyes until a 24/7 series is announced or until tickets are available then the fight is not on.

i think these reports of the fight being confirmed are to give the impression that the fight is heading in a positive direction. it also keeps the fight in the limelight and the reaction to these 'confirmed' reports are being monitored to see what the interest level is in this fight.
