Boxing as we know it is officially over. Kiss the sweet science good bye. It's time for all the fans who follow the sport to officially hang up the gloves and move onto bigger and better things like MMA or, well, MMA...

A good article about boxing in general which i agree with.

Boxing is here to stay forever people......MMA does not come close to boxing----->MMA is for WWE fan boys and white trailer park trash.

MMA has no history....we have Ali, Marciano, Lewis, Foreman, SRR, Duran, Hagler, Hearns, Frazier, Tyson and many many more.

Boxing is the sport of kings and queens, a civilised yet brutal sport. Artistic, violent, poetic and scientific all at the same time.

Boxing is set for a big 2010......we will crush MMA!!!!!!

Canelo should help to add to the already big attraction of Mayweather vs Mosley. This kid got some skillz.

Can't wait to see him fight. Knowing GBP's luck he'll probably go and lose though lol.

Actualy that is incorrect Floyd won his first world title in oct 1998 and Manny won his first in Dec of 1998

Floyd was 21 he beat linear champion Genaro Hernandez

Manny was 20 and he beat Chatchai Sasakul (a fighter who fought strictly in Thailand) who was not the world champion he was the wbc champ

Floyd has been the guy to beat in at least 3 weight classes

Lets not forget the Ring champion at 140 and ring number 4 at 140 where in the building as Floyd destroyed arturo gatti. Hatton was ring champ. Cotto was also in the building. Neither of wich wanted any part of Mayweather that night and he called just about everyone out.

at 130 he riegned supreme for 3 years

at 147 he was undisputed welterwieght champion of the world while he was still a natural jr welter

how many weight classes to pac reign in. he only fought once at 140 and 135

at 130 he struggled with Marquez

Pac has not stayed in these divisions he simply fought the weakest in 135 and 140 and moved on.

Floyd fout the undesputed welter the former undesputed welter

so no he did not take all comers at 147 but he beat the two higest ranked at the time.

but at 130 135 and 140 he took on all comers at 147 he beat the two top guys and challenged Mosley 3 times at 147

You show me at what weight class pacman took on all comers and show me what weight class he called out the best im a pac fan i am. but i can admit that he does not look to fight the best out there ona level playing feild

Cotto was a solid welter brought down 2lbs after a massive beating
Delahoya was a natural 154lber brough down to weight he has not weighed in 5 years
Hatton was exposed the fight befor for his glass jaw but a super win for pacman no less
Diaz come on he was there for the taking. Any elite 130 or 135 could have takin his title

Pac did not fight any of the strong 135 champs
Pac did not fight any of the strong 140 champs
Pac did not fight any of teh strong 147 champs at 147

no division was he avoided no division did he clear out 2 of the top 5 at least. none!!
