    HBO vs. SHOWTIME

Ok... so HBO should be ****ing pissing in their pants because of all the great fights being shown on Showtime. Over the weekend i have experienced double knockdowns, action packed fights, and of course a fight of the year candidate all on showtime. The best part is......they were all FREE!!! NO PPV BULL****!> So HBO has some good fights coming in, but they are ALL PPV!!! What kind of bull**** is that. I must say that SHOWtime IS THE NEW PEOPLE's boxing network champ. They show fights that are of ppv magnitutde and show it for free...unless you are no subscribed to showtime. What has HBO shown recently that is free? Wlad Klitschko vs. WHO? They really need to step their game up NOW!

yes, Showtime knocked out HBO this year

HBO is having too many lopsided showcase type fights(Vargas,Bitchko etc.).They even made Barrera-Fana a PPV event,LMAO!Showtime is putting together more competitive fight cards and televise atleast two fights per week.I'm starting to think HBO boxing is the reason that Boxing has reached a low point in popularity the past few years.

So far this year, SHO has showed more exciting fights for free compared to some HBO boxing mismatches. As a boxing fan, I think it's pretty even right now, hopefully, ESPN will catch up a little bit. The more competition, the better for us fight fans.

HBO has just more intangibles compared to SHO that's why more people subscribe to it. Ali G, Real Sports, documentaries, The Sopranos, etc.

There is an interesting fight card on HBO's Boxing After Dark on June 11.Of course, the Tarver-Johnson rematch should be good to,a week later.

Yes SHO is beating HBO in the quality of fights shown but enjoy them while they last b/c the more popular SHO gets the sooner their fights will be on PPV. Look at ESPN they had their first PPV boxing mathces a few weeks ago and the fight card wasn't too bad.

Fight of the Century Candidate cmon guys we have a long way to go, it was a pretty ****ing awsome fight but dont be surprised if their are ones that out excites that fight in the future, i hope so b/c the more exciting fights we have the popular the sport gets. I dont want to have 1 awsome fight a year i want to have as many awsome fights ina year as possible but that up to the fighters. Awsome showing either way.
