Is Martinez ducking Paul if he chooses to fight Pav for the 160 Title??

Williams and Goosen offered Martinez MORE money then he would make fighjting Pavlik for the 160 Pound title. Team Williams is awiting Martinez's response.

Just wondering because I didnt know it was ducking if you fight for a Lineal Championship instead.

Just my thoughts. I dont think Martinez is ducking Paul hes just going after the BIGGER fight. Right?

    Good.

Then why the **** do you clowns say Floyd ducked Margarito when he chose to fight for the Lineal WW Championship of the world instead

The Rock says Sergio has Paul Williams all shook up. That lanky jabroni didn't give Quintana a rubber match and he won't give Martinez a rematch.

With all due respect Rock. Williams has OFFERED Martinez the re-match. I hardly call that being shook up sir.

Pavlik stepped up first and is probably gonna make SM more cash right now.

Sergio asked for a rematch after that fight w/ Williams and Goosen and his handlers didn't want it.

If I was Williams I wouldn't fight Martinez again. SM will k.o him in a rematch.

It's plainly obvious people say that because Baldomir sucks mate. I don't agree with the avoidance claim in that matter, but I understand it. If Baldomir was both lineal champion and an elite fighter, then that "ducking Tony" train would never have left the station.

The flaw with you're arguement is this

Sergio Martinez actually fought Paul Williams where as Mayweather NEVER stepped in the ring with Margarito.

I'm not claiming that Mayweather ducked Baldomir, but the fact remains that Martinez DID infact fight Williams. A comparison would have been more appropriate if Mayweather would have fought Margarito, then skipped a rematch to get the belt from Baldomir.

I'm not one making that specific claim, but I figured I'd correct the comparison anyway.

It would be more accurate if first- Pavlik was in same weight division as Williams, and second- Pavlik was a far inferior fighter to Williams.

Given that, I still wouldn't say he is ducking Williams. He has fought him before, and he can fight him again, after.

As far as the criticism goes, Sergio is not claiming to be the best p4p fighter of all time. When a fighter props himself up to that level, then he will be held to that standard.

Floyd calls himself the greatest of all time, and if he does not live up to that proclamation, he will be criticized.
