    Fight of the Year

there is no way any fight this year will be as good as the one i just witness. Many people beleive the Floyd vs. Gatti will take fight of the year but that will just end up being a boxing clinic put on by Floyd. Corrales and JLC just went to war. Although i would have liked to see the fight continue, I think JLC would have just been hurt more, which is not what you want to happen to a great fighter. Where does this put both fighters in the P4P rankings?

I really dont know. Pretty damn high. JLC was already ranked really high on my list, but corrales ranks up there now. The way These two fought tonight was different than Gatti V.S. Ward. These two are highly skilled, and showed the same resolve.

Good damn question. I dont like those kinds of lists, because fighters are always underestimated and left out.

i alreayd had castillo in the top 5 because of his level of opposition.....so now corrales is up there. I think corrales might have locked up fighter of the year.....or maybe its gonna be castillo?..corrales beat castillo and freitas the best in the division.......so I think he locked up fighter of the year alreayd

They will both go in the hall of fame cuz of this battle

and I really feel honored to have Corrales from my hometown...

If Freitas continued he could've been in Castillo or Corrales's place...even if you dont win, dont mean u discgraced...

I would love to see a rematch

This was not just fight of the year, no **** it was lol...but I think it would be the best fight ever since Hagler-Hearns, maybe even better..

Fight of the Year, no doubt.

With regards to the P4P ranking, i dunno. If Castillo finished Corrales in the 10th round, he would've been probably 5th or 6th P4P, but he lost. With regards to Chico, he won but he was knocked down twice, which shows his chin is still suspect and doesn't deserve a P4P status.

Remember, Gatti-Ward fights were great, but that didn't make them P4P best fighters in the sport.

When I heard this fight was made,I automaticly thought this is a sure bet Fight of the Year Candidate. There's alot of interesting fights coming up,but I doubt any of them will be able to top Corrales-Castillo.

Did you just compare these two to Gatti and Ward? LOL.

This fight was tactical, but a VERY brutal one, both had gameplans, but also traded while at it....

This will go in the books as one of the greatest and it is trilogy material...

                It will beat Graziano-Zale...

This fight is the best we've had this millennium by far, it would be interesting to see how it compares to the big fights of yesteryear.
