Ruiz clinches. But these two were inside fighting, not clinching. There may have been some clinching but thats coz neither fighter would give in. This was too exciting of a fight for clinching.

Corrales was bringing the fight inside. It was almost like he wanted to prove he could beat Castillo at his own game. And he did for the most part. He would fight inside and then step out and fire the left hook. Great strategy by Chico. Sometimes he would fight Castillo on the outside, which probably really confused Castillo. If Chico fought from the outside the whole fight, he might have beaten Castillo a whole lot worse. This is why I don't see a rematch as being a whole lot closer, because Chico will come into the fight even more familiar with what he needs to do to KO Castillo.

I'm not saying they were clinching the whole fight but you said there was no clinches and I just answered the way I did.

No way did Corrales beat Castillo at his own game. He definitely more than held his own but he was taking the far worse beating in the ring.

i say castillo all the way by stoppage arounf the 7-9th round in rematch..and it will happen because if it dont people will call corrales even more of a ***** and say he oly won because he took the mouth piece out (which is true).SO corrales will have to fight and he wil land will lose.

looks like joe gossen will not allow a rematch to happen

"They should never fight again," he said. "It's too much."

How can you say he took a far worse beating than Castillo? Castillo was the one who would've been seriously or permanently hurt if the ref didn't step in. I admit that Chico's face was ****ed up, but did you see pics of Castillo after. His jaw is likely shattered!! ANyways, props to both fighters for giving us one of the greatest fights we've seen in a long time.

The public will demand it.There has to be rematch.

If not,Corrales would probably unify the titles.I honestly think Castillo's stock went up after this fight, and he's still gonna get big fights at 140 whether or not there is a rematch.

I think Castillo will win the rematch if it ever happens. But I think Corrales might not to fight Castillo again, and go after Morrales Barrera Pacquaio Hatton Tzyu Cotto or unify the belts at Lightweight. Castillo should have used the uppercut more when they were inside, the times when he used it, it was very effective and opened up other things in his arsenal. Castillo's only drawback is he is a little bit chinny, but he recovers fast and knows how to take a knockdown.

Corrales is like Morales in alot of ways when you hurt him is when he turns it on and comes at you with all he has, and Castillo made the mistake of trying to finish him off without excercising proper caution and that is why he lost.
