"SMOKING" JOE FRAZIER vs "THE EASTON ASSASIN" LARRY HOLMES

This is one fight I have had on my mind for a while now. Can Frazier hunt down Holmes get past that jab and do a job on him? He would need to get inside to land the BIG LEFT HOOK. Or does the Easton Assasin control the fight with his SMOOTH JAB and bottle him up when Joe gets inside. Holmes had only been stopped 1 time Joe was stopped two times once by Foreman and the other time was when he didn't come out in the 15th in Manilla

Personally I think that Joe stops him late after losing the first 6. It all depends on how Joe deals with the jab and swelling in the eye area.

    Weight: Heavy Weight
Rounds: 15 (10 point must system)
    Gloves: 8 ounces (punchers gloves)
    Ring: 20 x 20 (smaller ring)
Venue: Madison Square Garden (Mecca Of Boxing)
Refferee: Arthur Mercante Sr (tough reff but fair)

    Make your picks!

    20.00%

    Larry would outbox Fraizer. UD.

I will probably get grilled for saying this but I've always believed that Fraizer was one of the most overrated fighters in the history of boxing. His claim to fame is beating an inactive Ali.

I could see Frazier bobing and weaving his way taking the jabs off the top of his head. Drooling at the idea to land something big while Holmes pumps that jab and moves around the ring trying to set up something big with out getting caught. Fraziers counterpunching ability was not spoken about too often but he was able to sneak in those left hooks while you were moving and throwing. He would take 2 or 3 shots to land something big. he would work the body as well to slow down his opponents...I would not coutn Frazier out and Holmes was tough the only fighter to put him away was Tyson. Holmes was 37-38 but he still had some decent victories after that fight. Holmes had a great chin and Frazier was relentless in his attack....I want to hear more....Lefty

holmes jab wouldnt be to effective against frazier imo..frazier would dip in and unleash the left hook from hell..but this would be an alltime great fight prime 4 prime..but id have to lean towards fraizer

Holmes's jab would be too much for Smokin Joe,I love em both but Larry is underrated & Possessed 1 of heavyweights most dominant jab!!Just as Foreman said,"this sport is easy,if U have a jab",Holmes had 1 of the best!!

It would have been a very brutal figth both...I think it's the type of matchup that would've been a trilogy. I think Holmes wins by SD
