Comments Thread For: Carlos Tamara Returns Home A Champ

By Ryan ******** - Newark Liberty International Airport. Gate C, international arrivals. Sunday, January 24, 2010.

A group of 30-something greeters - some having arrived two hours earlier - await the flight from the Philippines that carries the newly crowned IBF junior flyweight champion Carlos "El Olimpico" Tamara. Some curious passerbys take note of the homemade signs containing congratulatory remarks. One sign praises an "F.I.B." champion. [Click Here To Read More]

I also feel bad for Viloria but this is Boxing. I like when we see upsets...just when you think someone is a sure winner we get an upset.
I am happy for Tamara! that kid has a HUGE heart....

Serious heart, that's what I love about the lower weights. There are so many young guys hungry to get the attention of the public.

I could see Viloria beating Tamara in all avenues except for endurance that took him dearly! Viloria needs to change his conditioning trainer if he want to retake his belt and as assurance to face Calderon. For the maintime, congartulations to the newly crowned champion, he got it in a very toughed way and he deserves it! Though I would root for Viloria if ever they will meet again!
