Lol At the trainer calling them "boys", Chris John is 30 ,gamboa 28,lopez going to be 27, I guess he must be talking bout them being boys since John been in the pro game since late 90's but can't underestimate them at just being "boys". John is already talking bout retiring soon at 30, so he mite to try to cash out and these names are hot and performances this past weekend are fresh in people's minds.if arum is seriously trying to build them up even more he should put them closer to west coast a couple of fights since they have the east coast pretty much sewed up .maybe hit the uk also , not just NY.

I'm sure Gamboa will fight him but Juanma no way. Arum will keep feeding him bums and milking whatever is left of his puertorican fanbase for all it's worth.

The only reason he made it close was due to the ring size or JMM would have KO'd his ass.

i can see gamboa beating john with his speed and power. juanma just came up and i think juanma would be biting off more than he can chew with john. john is an excellent boxer. yes he doesn't have the greatest power but he's crafty and can take a decent shot. my only concern is his tendency to fade in the last few rounds. i'd love to watch any of these fights!

Juan Ma vs John should be the first fight, however Arum will protect his fighter and screw boxing fans out of a very good matchup.
This should not be a shock (two faced Arum protecting fighters) becasue this has been his modus operanti in the Featherweight class since JMM emerged and threatened his boys. He holds on to fighters and protects them like he probably protects his money.
Juan Ma is around 27 and John is 30, now is the time for them to fight before John gets too old or before John has trouble making weight at Featherweight.

As far as Gamboa fighting John, it should not be a problem as Gamboa has fought at Super Featherweight in the past and could fight John at that weight if John cannot make the Featherweight limit in the near future.

He did not seem to be interested in fighting Gamboa from the Luevano post fight interview. He seemed to dance around the question and went on to discuss the weight differences betwenn Matagwa and Gamboa.

John is still the best FW. the most skilled and experienced fighter down there. Gambo would have a major leap in terms of level of competition/skills if he goes from Mtagwa to John so we don't know how he gonna look. JML has fought good fighters but not on John's level too. Damn these 3 should do a round robin tournament.

These fights should definatley happen. John has the "Super" WBA title and Gamboa has the "Regular" title so that should be the first fight really but i wouldn't care if he fought Lopez first.

So ring size determines the winner?
