How do you beat Pacquiao?

What's the way to beat Pacquiao? Some say by using a stif jab. Others by using the right, what is the correct way or game plan to beat Pac?

Great chin, straight right hand, good jab are key.

JMM had the most success against Pac and his jab is crap. Maybe its having a good right hand, and good upercut, and a good left hook. He landed those almost at will. Also JMM's right hand goes out like a jab sometimes, have you guys caught that?

Great reflexes, decent/match-able hand speed, footwork, counter-punch, un-afraid to point fight... Basically Floyd Mayweather Jr. (would say JMM but he doesn't point fight does he?)


Don't get me wrong because Pacquiao is also how you beat Floyd but you have to add a granite chin to the equation though.

He seems to be a sucker for a straight and a stiff jab. I don't know if that will do much to hurt him, but you can wear him down and rack up points. If you're bigger and stronger and willing to take some punishment, then you can throw down with him and see if you can catch him with a clean hit. Other than that, he's a tough little dude to beat.

To beat Manny,ur gonna need a stiff jab,the most important thing to beating him!!Forget about fighting him,move & jab!!Make him,come find u,all the while jabbing & moving laterally!!Throw in some over hand straits out of rythm,so he can't time it!!U better make sure ur stamina is good,because he's coming to fight!!Avoid exchanges unless ur punches are short!!

I agree with high aggressive counter punching but that requires stamina, able to maintain power while backpedaling and a granite chin. I'm not sure if Marquez style is still the right solution to beat him when Pac's now at WW. We could not 100% say that it would beat Pac since he still lacks some skills back then and was prolly having a hard time making 130.

If you'll just use jab the whole fight, you will eventually get tagged and KO'd. The most difficult thing to beat on Pacquiao is his mindset when he sees an opponent showing some signs of fear he will eat you and when you hit him, his focus even goes stronger. He will not be P4P best if he was that easy to beat.
