"The Brawl Downtown" Great Fights Tonight
There is some fights I get for free tonight. Pretty good fights, and Larry Holmes commitating, nothing better than free boxing. It was free because it is on my cable provider because the fight is a town away from me, I tried to get there, but I couldn't make it, if you didn't see it I'll fill you in.
Willfredo Rivera vs. Jeff Carpenter
Willfredo Rivera (37-7) known for fighting Fernando Vargas, and Oscar De La Hoya, destroys Jeff Carpender one minute into round 2 with a vicious body blow to the ribs (he was working on Carpenters left side relentlessly in round 1) Carpenter gets up at the mandatory 8 count, but the referee stopped it because Carpenter was indeed taking one hell of a beating.
Derrick Samules vs. Kevin Carmody
Derrick Samuels, defeats Kevin Carmody with a UD, judges scored it 59-54. Both fighters have unbelievably fast hands, and the fight goes the distance, but Samuels suffers a severe gash over his right eye which will keep him out of the ring for about 60 days, but goes on to win anyway.
It is still on, and there was a fight inbetween these two that I didn't care seeing (womans fight) but these two I really looked forward to seeing, and i'm sure you guys wanted to hear about it, so i figured i'd let you know what went down.
