IMO its time for Hopkins to retire, he's done it all and is very rich. The fact people are giving an untested fighter like Taylor a very good chance against him just proves he's slipped.
Taylor has looked pretty good and just because X has slipped doesnt mean he should retire. He can slip and still be better then everyone even though I dont think he is

True, a win for Taylor get him a top 5-10 p4p ranking, but it would be moreso due to B-Hop slipping than Taylor being great...

Once the dust settles this Summer, Floyd will have claimed the p4p crown from the majority of the Floyd lovers & haters IMO, he's just way too good to lose to Gatti, and if he whips Cotto in November he'll be #1 by a long shot

Hopkins/PBF in a dead heat. Cant'take nothin from the old man, yet.

His determination and savvy levels the field.

How can Morales be #1 when he just lost to MAB and wasnt that long ago when he lost the first time to MAB and he has had some close fights also with guys like a one arm Chaves
Well for one Winky Wright is ranked pretty damn high in P4P so if Trinidad beats him he jumps into the top 5 instant. Also Trinidad destroyed Ricardo Mayorga who gave a hell of a fit to Corey Spinks,(Spinks only won by MD) and beat Vernon Forest twice who was ranked very high P4P. So a Trinidad win vs Wright definitely puts him contention.

I agree that Taylor has looked good so i could understand why people give him a good chance, but a few years ago Hopkins would be the clear favourite.

A younger version of Hopkins wouldnt have run away from a very average fighter like Eastman, i just think when you have done it all you should retire at the top of your game.

I remember a thread about Hatton's P4P status should he beat Tszyu, most said he shouldnt make top ten from beating one elite fighter.

Lets say both Hatton and Taylor KO their opponents(Tszyu and Hopkins) in the 6th round. who do you rate higher P4P??

Taylor, because whether valid or not Hopkins is held in higher regard than Tzyu.

hmmmm good question, I'd go with Hatton higher on the p4p chart, simply due to his past victories, which rank just a tad higher than Taylor's previous wins....

still though, tought to see Hatton pulling this one out, went Tszyu is on point he's scary

Thats probably true, i think Tszyus better than Hopkins at the moment but i know most fans think Hopkins is number 1 P4P.

P4P or not i'd rather face Hopkins than Tszyu, Tszyu's strength and power is unreal for his size.

Naz - if he was still around.
Tszyu - gonna lose to hatton though.
Howard Eastman - beat him but Hopkins was *****. (so tech. lost)
Tyson - in his early days.

And a couple more but cant think...
