I gotta disagree... Just because Cotto throws more punches doesnt mean his offense is better... Floyd's hand speed and offensively accuracy is great, he doesnt waste punches and pretty much hits you at will and controls his opponents with his offense as well as defense. Floyd ability to outthink his opponents offensively is superior to Cotto and most other fighters.

win. I give Cotto props for fighting who he fought at WW but skills
wise? Floyd trumps Cotto all day.
might agree with you after floyd fights 1 WW. HE HAS TO FIGHT 1 TOP WELTER AND THEN WE CAN HAVE THAT DEBATE. I find it hard to compare JMM AT WW (WHO'S HIGHEST WEIGHT CLASS WAS LIGHTWEIGHT) TO GUYS LIKE MARGS, MOSLEY, CLOTTEY AND PAC. Cotto ain't a ***** and floyd is and i think cotto is the better boxer, harder puncher and has way more heart.

Floyd was injured in that fight and it was still close but debatable.
How come people keep forgetting the immdediate rematch? When
Castillo weighed 147 at Light Weight to Floyd's 138 and Floyd beat
him convincingly. You should be asking yourself, how come Pacquiao
couldn't convincingly beat Marquez both times years apart with the
          2nd win being VERY questionable.

if pacs soo toug why did hea barely get a ko in cotto in the 12th round after the guy was thouroughly destroyed by margs and a sound beating by clottey?? pac is very beatable dude, floyd will whip his ass garunteed, or mosley and maybe even margs, pac isnt as great as the media and u say he is,jmm that liteweight whipped pacs ass not once but twice according to most experts,so what does that say ???the compubox proves it look it up.

I agree that Cotto has heart and can see how you would think Cotto is
the better fighter at WW because he fought some of the toughest guys
there. Cotto earned some respect from me for taking on the heavy
hitters at 147 BUT honestly, Cotto was still a work in progress, good
but could have been a lot better. I guess we will see what Floyd
is really made of when he steps in the ring with Mosley, who by far
is a stronger and more technical opponent in my opinion than Pacquiao.

              • this is all talk. i don't think pac really wants to fight mayweather. floyd's counter accuracy will slice this one dimensional southpaw in pieces, easily.

well said cotto couldve been great but was always a work in progress he recessed after mosley, now hes just tooo beat up and worn out to be a factor after margs anyway.

                    • Floyd's Offense> Cotto's offense

Just because Cotto throws more punches, doesn't mean that he has more accuracy than Floyd.
