i wish margarito the best in his return but in all fairness he should have to start from scratch. atleast to quiet the doubters. Toni had everything working against him in the shane fight. Shane mosley is one BAD MOTHERFU(KER plus one of the best boxer's of our time and i take nothing away from him but...


toni had more on his mind besides that fight such as...
-being 'caught' with a 'PLASTER-LIKE SUBSTANCE' in his wraps
-Majorly weight drained (watch the weigh-ins and try tell me toni doesn't look sick and weak plus he weighed in at 145. a monster sized welterweight losing an extra couple pounds can be catastrophic.)
-wondering what kind of punishment NSAC would give to him.
-not fully healed from the fu(king epic beating cotto gave him before being overcome.

it is also possible toni didn't know there was something in his wraps. if you have ever had your hands wrapped with gauze then you know they have a pad that is previously prepared to put on the knuckles. i doubt toni thought his trainer would try do anything like that so he didn't check the pads out. it was only 'PLASTER-LIKE', it wasn't a big brick sitting there for everybody to know. and it still has yet to harden. watch a video on youtube of people getting there hands wrapped and you'll see that it is possible for something to go un noticed while getting your hands wrapped especially when you think of your trainer as a father and trust that he wouldn't do such a scumbag thing like that. the same guy wrapped his hands THOUSAND'S of times. it's not hard to have full trust in him.

and about his chin being cracked... that couldn't be further from the truth. mosley landed something like 100+ flush power punches on a weak, daunt toni and he still didn't go down until round 9. when toni finally went down, he did so with a smile on his face. toni is fearless and probably the hardest working fighter out there. i believe he loves and needs the sport too much to even conciously attempt to cheat. good luck to toni.

i think that margaito is a great fighter with a great technique. His performance against cotto was brilliant and he showed the boxing world what he could do. He was definatley one of the most avoided fighters for many years.

On the other side of his career, he got caught with plastic substances in his gloves. Who knows how long he was loading his gloves?

TBH. Cotto made Margarito. Nobody ever talks about Margarito's other wins. Anytime Marg is brought up, Cotto is brought up. Face it. He's **** without that victory. A rock 'em sock 'em robot who's best known for trying to cheat a 37 year old Mosley when he was already the favorite to win. Marg needs Cotto, not the other way around. You want a real Mexican warrior? Look up the great Juan Manuel Marquez. The last man to beat Manny Pacquiao.
