No it wasn't. It was to teach Ricky to apply smart defense. Same style, but with the addition of real defense that doesn't get him check hooked and clean clocked all the time on the way in. Hatton just had the worst habits instilled in him already, and he was doing work with Lee Beard outside of Floyd, completely screwing his mind against Pac with two training styles in his head for 1 fight.
