What's with all the Mayweather-Mosley hype?

It's just the former pound 4 pound king, undefeated in his prime, vs. the most dangerous opponent out there (Mosley>Pacquiao, let it be known). Mosley is really the only #1 P4p fighter Mayweather has fought..the list goes from Jones-Mosley-Mayweather (correct me if I'm wrong).

Boxingscene has not updated anybody on anything to do with the fight. Without an extensive search on Google, nobody would know the fight is ALMOST A DONE DEAL. ESPN barely has anything to do with the fight or the negotiations.

I've been expecting to hear about this fight for some time, but it seems nobody wants to speak about it. Hype the negotiations at least!! (after the whole Pacquiao deal).

Personally, I thought Pacquiao-Mayweather would be a letdown because I know Mosley is a better fight (and it should have priority, from a boxing fan's perspective), but that Pacquiao is a better fight for boxing (because it puts the world's spotlight on boxing).

    nobody is getting excited yet
we'd like to believe this fight is happening
    it'd be great for boxing
but Floyd fighting Shane seems too good to be true
I noticed people holding back on jumping for joy over the fight
given Floyd's past there's reason to believe this fight won't happen
many just won't believe it until they see it

Well partly because Shane doesn't have a huge fan base. Secondly, the fight is not signed and until then why hype **** that may not even happen. If the fight gets inked the hype will be pretty damn big. Much larger than Pac/Clottey.

TS, you also forgot about Trinidad and Hopkins for P4P in that time frame. Some may argue Winky for a brief second but most had Floyd over him

I just saw it on espn.. That little reader board below almost at all times.

Just said the two fighters are in negotiations.
