Because with Margarito there, Arum would have another Pacquiao vs. Toprank in-house fighter, which would make it harder to do business with Arum. I can understand where Dela Hoya's coming from.

my opinion on this matter is a bit double sided.. on one hand i tend to think margarito was not band because the commission judged too soon.. i mean "plasterlike".. no real evidence.. the lab results were "substances that are found in plaster".. not something scientifically proven to be plaster.. as for the hbo photos, that could simply be blood that dripped down his forearm.. another reason i give margarito a little credibility is cause of his past opponents.. there are not, if any, that showed psych damage.. cotto, williams, clottey, martinez, santos, cintron all went to succeed to some level.. some champions!.. (unlike trinidad who was caught in a similar fashion, and he, in my opinion, destroyed carriers like vargas, campas, and joppy, they were never the same) so i'm giving him the benefit of the doubt on that side.. on the other hand i agree that boxers should have an idea of whats going on.. and if he did cheat then it would be appropriate to ban him 4 life, but that's just speculations.

de la hoya is just mad that margarito will add PPV numbers to pac/clottey.. and increase leverage if pac/foney weather ever talked again.. cause i highly doubt foney would face mosley..

i say let him comeback, his style is fan friendly, and he'll be under magnifying glass.. so we can see him come back to the top, or become a stained memory.. i for one would still pay to see him.. but if he's denied a 2nd chance.. i wont miss him..
