first of all jmm at lightweight beat 2 of the best in the world by KO. but you have to factor in that pacquiao is just better now. better combo's and better punches. at the time of the 2nd fight i was completely non biased and liked both fighters, i personally thought manny won.

even if pac gets beat by jmm at a trilogy..
i think pac would still go the same route and go to higher weights (with or without oscar)

wasnt he cutting a lot of weight in the FW/SFW ?

just because 2 of his best wins were at 135 doesn't mean he looked good at 135.

you telling me jmm looked great at 135?

            please.

juan diaz wouldn't have done **** against the 126 version of jmm.

he didn't have problems with weight at 122-126.

it wasn't 'til 130 that he started having problems making weight.

too much partying i think. 130 was when pac started making really , really good money.

It's not too much partying that was the problem. It was the promotional rights lawsuit between Top rank and golden boy that derailed Pacquiao for a year and a half and kept him from getting relevant fights.

Pacquiao was the mandatory challenger for Barrera's 130lb belt but because of the lawsuit it was delayed and allowed Marquez to step in and make himself relevant again by beating Barrera.

If Pac-Barrera 2 had been for the belt the Pac-Marquez rematch never would have happened and Pac would have jumped weights a year earlier.

the lawsuit is why the barrera and jmm rematches in 2007 and 2008 were delayed.

i was talking about jmm refusing the IMMEDIATE rematch at 126 in 2004-2005.

a lot of things would have changed if jmm had taken the fight and won (which he could have against 126 pac)

I agree with you on that. I was referring to your statement about Pacquiao's weight problems at 130. It wasnt because he partied too much. It was because the lawsuit essentially forced him to stay at the weight longer than he should.

                      oh okay. i gotcha.

i seem to remember all these pacquiao is partying , pacquiao is always shooting pool , pacquiao doesn't stay in shape type news back then.

i thought it was during his time at 130. not sure though. it's been a while.
