i think it was a bit of both, haye knows hes a bit chinny and if youre fighting a guy of 23 stone it will be in the back of you head,it doesnt matter if hes got alot of power or not.23 stone landing on your chin, thats gonna hurt
I think he did, and I think he really could have looked more impressive if he wasn't so concerned by Valuev's size. Haye was the power puncher in that fight and yet he was wary of engaging from start to finish. It was a poor performance IMO.
I keep seeing this pop up, Haye ran against Valuev, some say it was strategy, some say it was fear.
What do you think?
i dont think he was scared. he wasnt as active as he should have been but id say it was an the correct way to approah the fight seen as tho haye was so much smaller.

I think it was a combination of both, he was much faster and had better reflexes than Value so he used his advantage, Value might not have one-punch knockout power but he was still the stronger man.
Of course he was worried about Valuev's power. That's why he was avoiding and dodging Valuev the entire fight. If Haye wasn't fearful of what would happen if Valuev landed a clean punch, than he would've pulled an Arreola and just jumped in there.

Pointless thread.
It isn't really that "pointless" when the poll is so close.
