If somehow hell freezes over and Clottey pulls off some kind of upset, Floyd wouldn't ever bother fighting Pacquiao ever. Clottey would be the sole goal after Mosley. Mayweather would claim Pac lost to Clottey and he is no longer interested.
If Pacquiao lost to Clottey, Mayweather would NOT fight him.. EVER.

Soo? really whats wrong with going after Clottey if he beats Pac lol??
Clottey is a huge WW in my eyes beat Cotto and WAS beating Margaritto before injury if he beats Pac as well, why wouldn't Floyd fight him? i don't get your point at all -
I could certainly see that happening. But if the public interest is still there and the amount of money that it could possibly genenerate is till there, then i don't see why this fight can't still happen. It would however give Floyd the advantage to have a bigger split, probably 60/40 which is reasonable.Comment

as we all know, Floyd had this Lexicon Book of Excuses on his side all the time
thats probably on page 999

If Pac losses I could see Floyd fighting him and even dropping the blood test to fight him...
If Pac wins and has an easy time, then I see Floyd still asking for random blood testing...Comment

C'mon now, Mayweather will fight anyone on the planet
"After my fights I go on TV and say, 'I want to fight Arturo Gatti. I want to fight Kostya Tszyu. I want to fight Shane Mosley. I want to fight Oscar De La Hoya.' I literally say their names." - Floyd Mayweather

There is nothing wrong with going after Clottey if he beats Pac. I'm just stating that if Pac was to somehow lose, Mayweather would really never fight him then.. And Clottey beat Cotto.
I wouldn't call it a excuse or a backdown from Pacquiao. I would just say it would not only be the perfect thing to say but the perfect timing. Roach would be so pissed, lmao.Comment

You know how convincingly Clottey would have to beat Pacquiao in order to get the win, trust me, not gonna happen.Comment
