I will say though that Gamboa is more fundamentally sound... he's probably even faster then Hamed... Hamed is stronger...

Close one to call... if Gamboa matures and does what he did in the Mtagwa fight... I'm picking Gamboa... but until now he ain't faced elite competition...

It's really hard to call because to box mature for 2 rounds is one thing but for 12...

I'll go with Gamboa but don't feel comfortable with it... I went **** on Toney-Hopkins if I didn't... I would go **** here and say draw *looooooooooooooooooooool*
by what he did in the Mtagwa fight you mean have an opponent run into his flush shots with his head up? damn the guy looks physically strong and fast but this hype..

Dude just beat a bonafide club fighter for god sake.. with 14 odd loses

Hamed will toy him, and go for the kill once Gamboa is already frustrated..

That he was mature... Mtagwa is not a good fighter or the best he fought but he stayed poised... wasn't as wild as usually... if he matures he can be great... but he has a lot to do... I said that all along if you read my posts...

But Hamed was pretty good... I think the version now of Gamboa would get beat but if he continues on his way... poise... some defense... stays hungry he could beat Naseem... right now I would Naseem... right now I would also take JuanMa over Gamboa... but in a year or two who knows

he'd be too big since his lightest was 135 but a showdown between Meldrick and Gamboa would be insane...imagine the exchanges? ****in handspeed galore...i'd love every second of it

too much speed, i find it hard to believe that there is any boxer that has too much speed for gamboa, considering his speed is very impressive. never seen hamed though.

You should... Naseem is pretty much the guy who made the smaller weights interesting for the audience... and also made money... before that most ain't cared so much for the lower weights... dude had serious speed, cat like body control and deadly power... he only lacked fundamentals
