  • The overrated Amir Khan

I know that Britain loves him and they think he's a future P4P star but he's not.

Let us do a rundown of the best fighters he's fought so far:

    1) Marco Antonio Barrera - Long past his prime and competing at a weight class well above his best ones. Likely beaten by Khan because of the headbutt delivered in the first round that should've been stopped earlier and declared a no contest.

    2) Andriy Kotelnik - B level fighter who was out-matched by Khan. Arguably lost to Maidana in his previous fight before Khan but was given the decision.

    3) Breidis Prescott - The best puncher he faced THAT exposed his chin.

    4) Dmitriy Salita - Despite an unbeaten record, he was a C level fighter with a bad chin.

Even though Khan knocked him down three times, Salita's also been knocked down and hurt by two club fighters. One with a record of 17-7-2 with only 2 knockouts and the other with a record of 27-9-1 with 4 knockouts.

Maidana will expose him, yet again. Beware boxing fans. Beware.

I don't think Khan is over rated as most fight fans don't rate him, they see through the careful match making media nonsense ,he is over hyped. He has got away with the charade in the UK but I can't see US fans falling for it. To win US fans he is going to have to take on real fights and win them and I don't see him taking on dangerous fights. I will believe the Maidana fight is on when I see the two of them in the same ring. I have yet to see Khan in a fight where I felt the result was not a foregone conclusion and that is not because he is so good but down to the low level opposition.

A lot of people are making him out to be something that he's not. They say he's a future top P4P star, he'll beat all of the top people in his division, etc.

                    I'm just stating my opinion.
