That is the thing. I used to like Lopez a lot and called him the future, but he seems to not want to take challenges. That unknown african almost beat him, and gamboa said I want to fight him. Then ab calls him out for two years, he avoids him, and Gamboa says I want to fight him. There is clearly something going on, since gamboa is more talented than Lopez, but is still being given fights people think are tough.

celestino v juanma clearly makes more money than celestino v gamboa, and is a much easier sell given all of the buzz created by celestino's public blasting of juanma.

imo keeping juanma away from celestino is a clear sign of doubton the part of arum.

with all that being said... they are ducking or not risking future paydays on a fight with gamboa with caballero...

and it seems that they are going to offer caballero a gamboa fight..

lets see if the fight gets done...

and yes... juanma is looking like a ***** on the caba situation.

Cotto has a lot more guts when it comes to challenges than Lopez does in my opinion.

Isn't that sort of the same thing? I mean it's one thing to avoid a loss, but uh, Celestino Caballero kind of made Lopez look foolish.

I like Lopez, unlike some people on this site I think he's a fantastic fighter and I don't really take away from him because of the Mtagwa fight, because he has been so dominate ever fight prior and his last fight. But Celestino Caballero is getting shafted, and so is gamboa if he has to fight him next.
