IMO, why ppl so overate Gamboa. He has no big names in his record. See boxrec, pls tell me any big names in part of his record. I still put JML better than yuri, he beat DPDL, SL so JML may give trouble to John. I suspect that this already planned by Arum to match Yuri v mtagwa while JML previously did not fight truly with mtagwa. Gamboa has not fought the champ, he got the champ for free because john was elevated to be super champ. I see some ppl also underestimate Rocky, he was olympic medal, he have fought barrera and JMM and never been Knocked out. Even I believe Rocky will give trouble and has chance to beat Yuri.

Actually both of them want him. John is good but IMO he is not good enough to keep either Lopez or Gamboa off him for too long. He has a terrific jab and has great technique but once Lopez and Gamboa realize that he can't hurt them they will, in their own unique ways, start coming in closer and closer and start peppering him with the harder shots. Might go UD but I highly doubt it. Because Lopez has fought MUCH better opposition I see him getting John first while Gamboa perhaps goes after one of the other two champions so that he can get a real belt.

They are there and rushed to that weight class for a purpose! To unseat Chris from his WBA throne! Arum want his men to rule that weight class too!

What are you talking about chief, Gamboa has been fighting at Featherweight and at Super Featherweight . Gamboa previously won the NABF & WBC International Super Featherweight titles in 2008. In 2009 he won the WBA Featherweight title. As a matter of fact, all of Gamboa's fights have been at Featherweight or Super Featherweight as a Professional.

You must be refering to JMA Lopez when talking about rushing someone to the Featherweight class. Lopez is the guy who just recently moved up from Super Bantamweight to Featherweight chief.

You guys do know this is the same Chris John that beat Juan Manuel Marquez, right? He would likely wipe the floor with either of them.

He'll need another 25 foot ring to keep Gamboa at a distance and allow him to out box him or John will have trouble late in the fight. John has been running out of gas late in his last fights, it might be time for him to move up in weight as these are symtoms of being weight drained.
