    Hey Boxing Scene...

I've been here a while just lookin and finding out about the upcoming fights and what not. I couldn't help but notice the amount of fighter bashing...

first of all, how many of you's have actually put on a pair of gloves and got in the ring?... less than half im guessing. so you don't really understand what it's like to go through all the training and strain that boxing brings to life outside of the ring. i am not saying im a professional fighter with 50+ fights but i have had 10 amatuer fights and all i can say is it's fu(kin crazy hard work. with that being said, the amount of time and effort ALL of these guys put into their craft should not get judged so harshly. i guess my main message is for everybody to show the athletes a little more respect and to keep in mind that everyone of these guys make A LOT of sacrifices to get as far as they do.

cheers to 2010 being one hell of a year for boxing!!!

Most of the people on here are kids who got turned onto by playing boxing games the past couple years. Its not that great of a forum for actual discussion anymore. The Lounge is alright tho for other topics.

The majority of sports involve dedicated hard work, and boxing is up there as one of the hardest.

But that doesn't mean that as fans and observers of the sport we can't criticise those involved, just because they're hard working and we haven't physically been involved in the sport.

I agree though that hate campaigns against certain fighters by fans of other fighters shouldn't happen and also claiming any fighter is a "chicken" is just plain ******.

Yes the majority on here are not actual fans of the sport TS. Most of them just have a man crush on 1 particular fighter, click on the link you see below my post.

You won't see anyone in that group calling professional fighters cowards or anything synonymous with that term, and you can have a serious discussion with anyone there.

Good post and welcome my man. Sadly, your post will go in one ear and out the other for most of these cats. They love calling fighters a ***** and a coward

Fans give them their profession in the first place. I can judge all I want.

Sorry, I don't buy the "don't be so hard on the professional, millionaire athlete", for any sport.

These main are paid professionals, and are the best at what they do, no one is denying that. With that in mind, I can still criticize accordingly. No one is arguing that they could do it better.
