Klitschko up to that point had fought in arenas, granted he sold them out but they were arenas nonetheless, holding maybe 20,000 people. There's a reason they decided to do the fight in a soccer/football stadium for the fight and that was because of Haye.

To be fair it was because of Klit/Haye not just Haye.

Of course it was but I doubt he would've been able to sell 60,000 if it has been Klitschko-Chagaev all along.

I think Klitschko might sell up to 35.000 tickets with the rest being bundled or given away in a freeroll only to get the stadium sold-out...

And hey, I would love to see Gamboa back again in Germany...he always has earned the biggest applause and respect on the shows over here...I'll cheer again, loudly...

For Gamboa and Solis...I don't like the term showcase. That means they will fight someone who isn't on par with themselves and will just be a waste of a fight and a way to get money.

Even if Gamboa fights a guy like Daud Cino Yordan it will be a showcase, just look who both fought early in there career over in Germany - every fight was a showcase...

Yea but I just have a feeling it will be an even lesser opponent. I would just liek to see him keep stepping up. Either way I'll watch it.
I think he's ready for better opponents. He's also not getting any younger.

Hm, I hope it's not someone of the calibre of Oliveira (WBA top15) b/c that would really be a waste of time...bring in some hard-nosed Asian (outta the WBA Top10) to give Gamboa some rounds...
