That should be the next fight. and Gamboa vs John...or vice versa. They really need to keep making them fight the other top 126ers and then fight each other summer 2011.
Be huge.
Rojas is a good fighter, he hasn't received the type of exposure that he should. He's a rangy guy who knows how to box and has a very nice right hand, he sometimes gets a little overzealous with it though and does things just to set it up, I think Lopez knocks him out in the mid to late rounds. But Rojas shouldn't be counted out.
Couldnt agree more. Rojas is a excellent boxer, theres a reason Gamboa(or His team) didnt want non of him!!
Elio Rojas is perfectly build to beat southpaws. He has a great straight right hand and a left hook follow up. He's really fast, good movement and can control distance. He lacks power though but he isn't feather fisted, decent power at best. I can see Rojas outboxing Juanma, but I'll say it's a pick'em fight. Juanma faught Luevano real relaxed, against Elio Rojas; he best put the foot on the gas early. I'd love to see this but Elio is too dangrous of an opponent and could possibly mess up the potential Gamboa vs. Juanma fight, which everyone is more interested in.

It would be a great fight. Rojas is a good boxer and has more natural athletic ability than anyone Juanma has faced to date. I've seen Rojas a few times now and the guy is one of those fighters who could be a top 5 fighter in and around his division. We haven't seen if he can take his ability to the next level yet...that's the problem.
Anytime two young, promising fighters face each other is a compelling watch for me though. It'd be a perfect BAD headliner.
