Ahmet was the guy who first began promoting him once he defected, it would actually be pretty nice to see headline a European card. And yes great to see him back in spring, he had some light work with Mtagwa, now time to really show he's an elite fighter

If Oner can provide him with a quality fighter why not? Actually, I like it Ahmet was always the one to bring him good opposition. Bob Arum is the one who started bringing bums.

I don't think any of the current champs will accept to go fight Gamboa in Germany, but a lot of top 10 would! Then Gamboa could unify in June along with Juanma!

I actually think Chris John would be a guy willing to make that fight in Germany. Chris John has said the only reason he's staying at featherweight is to get a fight with Gamboa, applause to that man, he's fought all over I'm certain he'd take that fight

IMO it's an really important show for Oener (March 27 that is) b/c it's his only chance to get a big TV deal with Sat.1 (2nd biggest commercial TV channel in Germany to RTL). So he needs to impress and what better kind of fighter he could do this with other than Gamboa?

Sat.1 approx. pays him $1 Mio. for this 1 chance and might give him a real good deal if the show would do well...

I really hope it's against someone good. Like a John or even a Cruz.
Because if he fights someone of a lesser stature it won't help him improve.

Arena CEO Oener today confirmed this news again in a German press release. It says that Odlanier Solis will also be fighting on that show...
