You do have a point about Mtagwa being a punching bag his whole career, and not having quite enough time to recover, esp at 31 years old, to fight a guy like Gamboa. Maybe just me, but I thought the stoppage was slightly premature as well.

I wouldve stopped it in the first. Mtagwa looked like he was out on his legs most of that round. At least to me. And Smoger is my favorite ref. He was spot on as usual.
