    Andre Ward

Just saw his fight with Roy Ashworth, and he seems to get no respect inside the ring, the guy grabing, rushing him, hitting behind the head, winning by DQ, some said Cotto being stunned by Corley hurt his prospect statis, so Andres been stunned and tossed around, do you think he has a future? He looks alright to me...

It is still to early to tell, he is getting every style thrown at him early and when he matures in the ring it will help out a lot.

He gets no respect, because he is fighting little bitches who want to knock off his golden medal status.

Andre is the real deal but with any up and comer he needs to mature and grow.

Ashworth was garbage from the start, from his tongue sticking to his throwing Ward on the ground and hitting him with his face down on the canvas.

Andrew has a lot to learn in the pros, but I think he will blow up....He is experiencing all of the rough house tactics EARLY and as I said that will help.

I hope and wish the best for Andre, I like his style.

Ward next fights June 18th on the Johnson-Tarver II undercard in Memphis. Early word was that HBO was going to televise his fight as the cofeature, and since there is no PPV the week before (Cotto BAD MSG card), you would HOPE they would show two LIVE fights...but maybe they'd rather show Quartey-Phillips...er...probably not. Unfortunately, I'd bet that HBO goes with a single fight, especially since it's sandwiched between the Cotto and PBF-Gatti cards...

Ward is a phenom, that guy Ashworth was completely worthless, we can't judge Andre vs. an opponent like that....

The Kost fight was interesting. Andrew took a hard shot early on but then looked very impressive the rest of the way out. The other two guys he's fought are little better than barroom brawlers.

              Phenom?

I would say PHENOM is not a good word to describe Ward. Hehas talent, skills and potential but the amateurs has NOTHING to do with the pros and so far in the pros he has looked as good as many others have but, really, his competition thus far has been very weak considering he is a GOLD MEDALIST

                Ward has all the tools

he just needs experience which will come in time

He needs to quit leading so much with lead hooks...
if he can start combinations with jabs he can land some big combinations...

His gym is only a hour and a half away from my house and I might go to his gym once a week startin summer

and........he fights like a amateur....not sayin he fights bad...he just fights the amateur style still, he shoould put some power onto his punches....

                Vicente Escobedo is something

if you truly are Iceman John Scully, go back to Foxwoods and pick up the crack-rocks Michael Nunn left for you in the locker room, it was his way of saying "thanks for not fighting back all night"

You wouldn't know PHENOM, because I.J.S. was a total bum, so you're not really qualified to judge the talent of others (not that I AM, but i've never gotten *****-slapped by a crack-head either)

his comp. has been weak? Dude he turned pro in DECEMBER, he's not supposed to be fighting top 10 contenders yet, and once he does he'll smack em up all night, S.O.G. is the truth and he's gonna bring big-time boxing back to the Yay Area
