No update or anything on Mosley vs Mayweather

What a shame. We haven't heard anything so far from neither camps. The more time this fight takes to be made, the more less chances it HAS to be made.

calm down. the fights in may, not march...it's still january.

ellerbe came out a few days ago, and said it takes time to do the contracts.

this will be one of the biggest fights in the last couple years, it won't get done in a week....

how long did it take cotto-pacquiao? and keep in mind those dudes have the SAME promoter....

I'm not saying it should be done this week, but some updates at least. Don't be surprised if the first news we hear from either camps is "Fight won't happen." That's why I'm saying we would like to know what is really going on between both fighters.

Give it time. Mayweather has never been the fighter who announces a fight straight away. He likes to build up the hype etc. The fight will probably take place either May 1st or May 8th, Theyll have the first official press conference mid-februry. The 24/7 series is going to be epic.

look at it like this, when pacquiao-mayweather was being negotiated, there was news everyday, one minute things were going good, the next minute, there was a conflict. it also seemed like everything was coming together "too quickly."

so far with this, we've heard from ellerbe that negotiations were "positive," and we've also heard that mosley has already agreed to the drug testing. the money shouldn't be a problem, because shane was ready to accept 35-65 against pacquiao......

all we've heard has been positive so far, and that's enough for me, as it was only announced this week negotiations were even taking place....too much information being released is a problem.

if we get into mid-to-late february, and nothing's official, THEN start asking questions, but right now, were only a week in.....what other news can come out, that hasn't come out already?

I could understand what goes through Floyd's mind at this point. Why would he settle for a fight with Mosley presumably for $10 million when he could make a $40-60 million in one fight with Pacquiao? He knew sooner or later he's going to have to face Pac, anyway. Why go through another wear and tear and not save the energy for the big fight?

It's clear that PB's mind is set on retirement. One more fight and he'll leave boxing for good.
