Gamboa pretty old for only 17 fights..

I just looked up his profile and he'll be 29 in December. I thought he was much younger for some reason, with only 17 fights.

That is why is he being brought up so fast. He dosent need fights really to grow. He had enough growing in the amateurs. He had like 300 amateur fights.

Well he was Olympic Champion and a lot of these Cuban boxers, aren't able to leave until they put the guard down of Cuba's government officials. Guillermo Rigondeux is another one who is a monster but he's not very young, but is probably one of the greatest Cuban amateur boxers ever.

Cuba has great athletes. I hate that their government is that way it is. It bothers me.

He was in the amateurs for long time. He couldn't defect from Cuba for a while.

                  It's ok.

Rigondeaux will be 30 this year and he has only 4 fights.

But he could be elite aswell.
