That kid had a lot of natural talent and skill but he lacked a lot of self determination and will to go after his opponent when he had him for his taking. I.E. Leija.

what i liked about bojado was that he wasnt the typical upright standing mexican fighter, he moved and punched, i dont know why he fell asleep against leija, but he had mcgirt training him his last fight..regardless, he had better ****ing come back.

I think they just pushed him too much, too soon, too far & he's a bit burnt out by it all.
I'm not suggesting that he's ruined by any means, but I think the kid needs a good long rest & some time away from the game. And when he does come back, they should keep him very busy while matching him up with lower level opposition to net him some further experience while rebuilding his confidence.
And I think they should find him a trainer that will be able to dedicate a proper amount of time & attention to him. Floyd Sr. is a decent trainer, but it seems that every time that the kid really needed him, Floyd was off in camp with Delahoya.

Bojado's got the ability to become a solid contender & the style to be an attraction for fans for some time to come, but he's still a very young man, so there should be no rush to throw him right back into the mix at the top of the 140lb devision. His people should just keep him busy against journeymen for a year or so while the log jam at the top sorts itself out a bit.

I agree..I love McGirt to death, but panchito's style changed too much while with him. McGirt is good with punchers that need to improve on their technique..with boxing in general (how to use the ring, how to move, etc..) and he did wonders with Gatti. Bojado is a great puncher and needs a trainer that will emphasize on what he's best at. I'm thinking maybe Freddie Roach? Regardless, just like Cintron, Bojado still has alot of potential, and is very young. I dont look for either of them to 'hang them up' just yet. They both need to go back to the "drawing board" and come back with a stricter training regimen and more determination. They can either one go a long way in this sport if they just seriously apply themselves.
