Just because Gamboa made quick work of Mtagwa??? Gamboa has improved his discipline and looks more relaxed than he has in previous fights but at this point I would still pick Juanma to beat Gamboa.
Why have so many people lost faith in Juanma tonight???

i beg to differ.. i think a lot of people saw that JuanMa is going to be a P4P lister sooner or later.. He beat a solid champ in Luevano.. The only problem tonight was, Gamboa made a strong impact.. -

uanMa is too slow and flat footed. Maybe a year or two from now. Right now Gamboa works him over pretty easy. Luevano was landing at will and he doesnt have half the skill and power as Gamboa. Did Mtagwa hit Gamboa even ONCE?? Mtagwa teed off on Lopez. Hes too easy to hit.
Gamboa by KO. Round 5.Comment

Well it is preaty easy, people tend to have a memory span of the greatness of pass fights of tops.... 3-4 fights but rather point out the weaknesses of the past 10+ fights. That is a general tendecy. Even thou this is not entirely true for these 2 because they are still young upcoming fighters, it is always easier to pick flaws than to give props.
The Juanma fight and the Gamboa fight were diferent styles and matches all toguether, and I was pleased with both fighters outcomes. Gamboa made the statement that he needed to get more attention and Lopez fought his fight and got the KO against a champion with 5 consecutive defences and was never stoped. So a straight comparison is not fair for either boxer.
Gamboa made a great impression tonight and I am liking ho he has been becoming better and better every fight he is trully something. And I am saying this not because an early KO but rather how composed he looked so props for him.
After tonight in my opinion Juanma had the fight he needed to and had a great boxing match and broke down the champ. So he is still on tracks for greatness and a great stepping stone for his career.
These 2 are bound for greatness and when they meet it will be fireworks. I have a feeling this matchup will make a great trilogy.Comment

Dont get me wrong folks I like Gamboa. He has all the speed and talent in the world. But I still feel he's a spot fighter. I still see plenty of holes in his defense and he has proven to have a questionable chin.
Lopez's aura of indestructability is definitely gone but I still see him as being the better overall fighter with a proven tenacity who can break Gamboa down.Comment
