I thought it was an entertaining card and two impressive wins. It seems to be becoming fashionable to downplay JuanMa's ability but I really think he has a perfectly good chance of knocking Gamboa out if they fight. As long as he doesn't get reckless he will be presented with opportunities, and I think he has the timing, combo-punching and power to flatten Yuri given the chance.
Gamboa still gets wreckless at times and Juanma is a good and patient boxer. Gamboa can get caught and we all no how a visit to the canvas can change fights.Comment

Lopez started to get into his groove in the third round and looked pretty good from that point on. He just wore Luevano down and knocked him out. The stoppage might have been a little quick but I think the writing was on the wall by that point, no one really has ever looked spectacular against Luevano, Lopez was no different but he looked pretty good nonetheless.Comment

Just considering that Luevano has a history of being put down and hurt and coming back to win and that he was the champion, he deserved a chance to retain his title. He had been in that type of situation before, he was wobbly but his eyes were clear. To me he should've been given the chance to continue.Comment
