Cherry picking and juicing are not mutually exclusive. The mind set to stack the deck motivates both paths.
If you look at Khan's career and the avoidence of Maidana cherry picking fits the bill perfectly. As for drugs I am not so sure although I am not 100% sure Pacman and Khan are clean either.
