Some of you are overreacting. He was joking around when he said that about Clottey and his usage of the spanish word "negro" had no negative conotation.

you are right to a point. but to break it down, the natives who's ancestors pre -date the spanish are simply the indigenous. as latino/hispanic came to be after the spanish colonization.
but the bottom line is our different races are secondary to our nationality and our culture which includes all of our roots the spanish african and indian.
