you need to realize this is a business as well..think back..if you watched the sport back then in the late 90s/early 2000s..Floyd was a cool guy in front of cameras, and though he had skills, he wasnt a big name..but as soon as he adopted the villian role..hes the bad guy, which he loves..and hes recognized!
there has to be a villian..and he plays that role very well..but think about Mosley..crazy skills..but he has that humble act..and as far as selling himself to the general public..it gets him nowhere..but, I could care less what they do outside the ring..I dont judge Floyd for being flashy..just as I dont judge Pac for cheating on his wife..

What always got me about people that talk a lot of **** about Floyd is that they hang on every word the man says, if you don't like who he is fine so be it but why care about what he says and does.

I only care about athletes for what they do in their sport, everyone has flaws so no reason to expect more from athletes then I do from people in real life~

Floyd Mayweather must really have an affect on you guys, because you wake up with him on your minds. Haters tune in to boxingscene just to get there daily Mayweather hate on. It's like a passion for some of you. I respect your opinions, but the level of hate on this site is disgusting. Team Mayweather can't even negotiate a fight with Mosley fast enough for you. Give it time damn. Leonard Ellerbe just said that negotiations are going smoothly. It's like an obsession. Hell, most *******s are more obsessed with Mayweather than the *****s are lol. *******s say Mayweather is a ducker. But didn't Pacquiao just duck Foreman because he was too tall? 1/2 inch taller than Delahoya. Go figure. The truth is every top fighter in the history of the sport has ducked someone. You say Mayweather is a ducker? Ok! But didn't Margarito turn down 4 million to fight P. Williams a second time? Didn't Cotto duck a Mosley rematch? Didn't Mosley duck P. Williams and Mayweather in the past? Didn't Pacquiao just duck Mayweather and also Marquez3, and Mosley? He didn't even fight the best fighter at 140( Bradley). I'm sorry but Hatton was not the champ at 140. The list goes on and on. Even all time greats ducked fighters. Why didn't Duran, Leonard, or Hearns fight Aron Pryor?

Leonard did not fight Pryor because Pryor was unhappy with the offer of half a million. Pryor discussed this after his fight with Lennox Blackmoore.

Pryor did not fight Duran because he had managerial problems when he got an offer to fight Duran (at 150 lbs.). By the time he got those managerial problems cleared up, the offer was off the table.

Incidentally, managerial issues (and a gunshot wound) messed up another bout for Pryor, a unification bout at 140 with Mamby.
