Comments Thread For: DeGale: Amir Khan Should Have Been Loyal To Warren

Olympic gold medal winner and middleweight contender James DeGale says WBA junior welterweight Amir Khan should have shown more loyalty to British promoter Frank Warren. Like DeGale, Khan signed with Warren right after the Olympics, where Amir won silver. Khan had been with Warren for his entire pro career. His contract recently expired and he decided to jump with Golden Boy Promotions. [Click Here To Read More]

Khan wants to be big in the USA, so he has to go with an American company. Sounds reasonable to me.

Roach has the final say on opponents anyway so I don't know what DeGale's spitting about.

Degale should work with Warren for a while before he talks like this.

Amir Khan is only looking out for Amir Khan like Frank Warren only looks out for Frank Warren. Loyalty doesn't come into it.

khan just wants to come to USA soil to get recognition. Warren never did taht for Khan. USA is the big stage for fighters and its where the money is at. to me it was a good move for Khan to come to GBP.

I laughed at the last part which was B.S..."But if he stayed over here I think Frank would have brought in the big fights. Frank would have deliverd." DeGale is gonna be the new overrated and protected fighter from the UK

The US still has the best trainers and the big money fight venues. And quite a few good fighters, even it not so many as before. (Chad Dawson, Andre Ward, Paul Williams, Kelly Pavlik, Timothy Bradley to name a few.)
