My contacts over at Fox Sports were impressed with Top Rank's debut edition of "Top Rank Live." The new boxing series premiered on January 16, and featured a competitive main event between junior middleweights Vanes Martirosyan and Kassim Ouma. Besides being impressed with the show, the network was really impressed with the 1.5 rating - which is three times higher than what the usual programming generates in that particular time slot. I watched it , it was like old times, Barry Tomkins and Rich Marotta, the fights were entertaining even though the co main event was scrapped.

I would like to know what that 1.5 rating translate into # of viewers, also I think it would have been better if they did a "Tuesday night fights" instead of Friday and Saturday like all the other networks. Also it couldn't have helped that Arum paid off the judges so well they barely gave Ouma a round.

I love the whole idea of this series. It just adds to our week of fights and pretty much garauntees us that we'll get some boxing every week. Hopefully Top Rank has people that read these forum's. Because I was hoping that these cards could one day be shown in Canada. Why are'nt these shown in Canada? We get Fox but not the right one. It's unavail in Canada.

It was good show, i hope Jose benavidez turns out to be a great fighter, I know he is only 17 y/o, but he has roach training him.his opponent looked scared .hope to see more of him,

They should change the dates for thusdays and thursdays

This is very good news. Hopefully, they continue to do well. Hopefully, they offer meaningful fights for us to watch and hopefully the series expands to FSN for all editions not just one out of every three or four.
