Joe Goossen: Mosley Would Beat Floyd Mayweather

I wish someone would break this fight down logically.Anyone that's a PFM fan,please respond to this.I have been watching boxing for 23 years.I've seen all different type of styles.The bottom line is,styles win fights.What is it about Floyd's style that make people think that he would easily beat Shane? The man is a defensive genius,but against a quick, fast,and busy fighter like Shane is going to give him nightmares.Oscar almost beat him because for half of the fight, he outworked him.Zab Judah outboxed and was quicker than him for 4 rounds.Both Oscar and Zab ran out of gas.In Shane, you have a guy that can outwork and at times outbox Floyd and he will not run out of gas.He has enough power in both hands to knock Floyd out.He is not a pot shotter like Floyd.He can counter,he can lead,throw fast effective combinations, he can fight on the inside, he has good stamina,and a good chin.Too much in my opinion for Floyd to deal with.This is in no way taking anything away from Floyd.He is a very good fighter.But he is not what I consider great.And he is far from unbeatable.He is very wise in how he pick his opponents.To be honest, I don't see the fight happening.But if it does,Floyd fans don't be surprised to see your boy lose his "0"! Get back to me PFM fans.

Not a PBF fan per se. However, I do respect good boxing. The thing is that many folks see Floyd in the same light as delusional fans saw Tyson back in the day as well. Tyson was invincible and could not be beat because of his speed and power. Douglas proved this totally wrong. Nobody is unbeatable and Floyd is not the same fighter he was when he campaigned at 130. Folks need to get out of that rut. I too believe that DLH gave him problems early on and I believe Mosley can do the same. Will he? We don't know right now, but it will be fun to see him try. I give Mosely a legitimate chance, much more than I did Marquez or Hatton, and slightly more than I did DLH. It's not a mountain Mosley has to climb, but definitely a steep hill.
