Ricky is out of it if he weighs around 180 plus pounds. That's done if he thinks going back to 147 lbs. And fighting at jr. middleweight 154 is out of the question. He should retire and concentrate with his boxing promotion company.

wow while i agree that he most likely shouldnt fight again, you are the biggest moron in the world if you think he should come back to MMA you need to get your head checked if you think that would be a good idea, and no he cant hold on as long as he wants because they could take him down to the ground, wow go sit in the corner and think about what you just said

Put Hatton in against one of those MMAers that aren't good on the ground. I'm sure Ricky could take them easy.

U obviously dont know MMA, all they would have to do is take him down and make his fatass tap since he has zero takedown defense.

Hatton vs. Haye, I can see the forum debates this is going to bring.

At the end of the day, Ricky Hatton is a pro fighter and was a World Champion not so long ago. If he wants to keep fighting, by all means he should continue to do so.
That said: his lifestyle outside of the ring has seemed to age him as a fighter faster than what hes actually done in the ring. The knockouts werent good, but all of the boozing and weight gain is probably taking more out of him than anything else. After every fight he blows up, then comes back down, and steps into the ring a much older fighter. That pattern worries me if hes planning on taking top shelf opponents.

I can't help feeling that the timing of Hatton's comeback announcement and Khan signing with Golden Boy is not a coincidence. I can see Hatton having one or two build up fights and if he wins fighting Khan for a big pay day. If that happens that will be a Hatton/Golden Boy promotion that will leave Frank Warren out in the cold and pretty well signify the end of any Warren/Khan promotional relationship.Warren has not yet started slagging off Khan which makes me think he still holds hope of making money out of him promoting UK fights. Warren is doing his best to discredit Hatton to sabotage any Khan fight out of self interest.
