Comments Thread For: Vassiliy Jirov Targeting a Danny Green Fight

Former cruiserweight champion Vassiliy Jirov (38-3, 32KOs) is back in the race and wants a shot at IBO champion Danny Green. Jirov returned to the ring last October after a two-year layoff. He suffered a flash knockdown in the first round and came back in the second to drop Jonathan Williams three times for the TKO win. [Click Here To Read More]

I'm a massive Jirov fan but i'v seen his most recent fight and his fight from 07, he looks waaay past it. Still wouldn't mind seeing it though and i wouldn't completely write him off.

Jirov is past it, but a fight with Green would still be interesting.

I agree he is not a factor worldwide, but a fight with Jirov would be interesting.

I seen Jirovs return and I think this will look more like Green-Jones Jr. Jirov is not back! Not yet anyways.

I hope Jirov can win but I would be worried about him taking too many bombs at this stage.

Danny Green is not that good but if anything has power.

Vasya Jirov is way pased his prime. He gets hurt from any punch that lands on his face.
I hope he stays retired, he was a force 5 years ago, but at this point he will only get hurt. Vasya, stay retired.

He already came back, he had a fight a few months ago.
