I don't really know if I can bring myself to say anything positive about Dawson's action to wait 8 months for an injured fighter to heal and at the same time take a chance on the fight getting delayed further. He needs to man up and fight the guy with the bigger punch and KO % who has called him out in Tavoris Cloud. And Bernard Hopkins needs to man up and fight Chad Dawson himself instead of fighting a shot ass Roy Jones. It's being fair across the board.
And really Dawson and Gary Shaw don't know what they are doing if they go to Canada to fight Pascal unless they can get some fair judges. That is one thing that I have to give Dawson credit for when it comes to this is being willing to fight on hostile territory.
BoxingScene.com has received word that the WBC has ordered the mandatory meeting between interim-champion Chad Dawson and full champion Jean Pascal. Dawson has a tentative return set for June 19 on HBO. The two sides have a little bit more than a month to reach a deal. The WBC scheduled a purse bid for February 26 at their offices in Mexico City. I've heard Pascal advised the sanctioning body that he is ready to defend in the month of June.

Sounds good, hope Pascals injury heals up well. Also hope Dawson has a fun and restful vacation.
I'll pick Pascal. What some people don't realize is that he progressed an awful lot in his last fights. Not to mention that he's also got a king-sized heart - I'm wondering whether Chad would have done 8 rounds against a puncher while having a dislocated shoulder - and manage to get a win.
Pascal has got enough speed, power and heart to seriously shake "safety first" Chad. Maybe even get a K.O.
I know many will disagree but I predict a Dawson KO.
People have been tricked into thinking Dawson is feather fisted because of who he has fought. He has gone 4-0 with 4 decisions in the last couple years, yes, but look who that was against. Two fights with Tarver, and two fights with Glen Johnson.
Tarver has never been KOed and I believe had only been knocked down once or twice. And remember Dawson is one of the guys who scored a knock down against him.
Glen Johnson is very difficult to hit clean and in his career of 64 fights and 13 losses, only once has he been KOed and it was his first loss and it was at MW to BHop.
Pascal doesn't have the beard that Johnson and Tarver have. You could debate that those two have among the best chins in boxing.
Thinking Dawson has underrated pop is one thing, thinking he'll KO Pascal is entirely another.
I do think Dawson has some pop but you obviously haven't seen alot of Pascal, guy has a very very sturdy beard.
Between the two, if anyone has a chin that can be cracked it's Dawson. I favour Dawson but he isn't winning by KO, Pascal is a live underdog and i'll be rooting for him.
