I like the RING magazine, but sometimes they suck...

Just got the super six review issue, and all through this article i was reading how Direll got robbed, and then right at the end they put "the ring had it 114-113 for Froch"

Lol, so what are they saying, we thought Froch won, so we were robbing Dirrell with our scorecard.

I also hate how they are clearly biased towards and against certain fighters.

What do you like/hate about the ring?

Maybe the article was written by someone different than the dude who did the scorecards for the ring?

I like almost everything about Ring Magazine. It has quality articles. They cover numerous fights that get no coverage here in the states (that I wouldn't even know anything about), they discuss fighters that aren't that well known, they've started articles about health in boxing and amateurs, they have great pictures, and besides the normal recap of an issue years before they usually have a piece on an old fighter (I love that stuff).

I remember the article about Dirrell-Froch, and I kept agreeing with the article and then I read the scorecard and did a double take. As someone suggested the person writing the article must not have been the person scoring the fight for Ring.

As far as the bias for or against certain fighters I think that has to do more with the authors of the articles themselves than the magazine.

I really don't see any cons to it other than the obvious ones that come with it being print media (late information and high price tag,).

My subscription I just started last year is about to expire and I'll probably re-up it for another year...
